GabaSet is a free meditation app operated by Resilience Counseling, PLLC. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
It is distributed on the App Store by GENERATE EV LLC on behalf of Resilience Counseling, PLLC.
GabaSet is not therapy or medical care
GabaSet offers general wellness education. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, a professional opinion about you, or emergency care, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.
Using the app does not create a counselor and client relationship with Resilience Counseling, PLLC or with any clinician, whether or not you are also a client of the practice. Nothing you enter in the app forms part of a clinical record, and nobody at the practice reads it.
If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Use it sensibly
Meditation and tapping are generally low-risk, but they are not right for every person at every moment. Some practices can surface difficult feelings. Stop if something feels wrong, and talk to a qualified professional about whether a practice suits you, particularly if you are managing a mental health or medical condition.
Do not use guided sessions while driving or doing anything else that needs your attention. Sessions designed for sleep are meant to be listened to while lying down.
What you may do with the app
GabaSet is free for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not redistribute, resell, rebroadcast or republish its audio, artwork or text, or use them to train a machine learning model, without written permission.
The sessions, scripts, artwork, recordings and the GabaSet name remain the property of Resilience Counseling, PLLC or its licensors.
The narration is synthetic
Guided sessions are narrated by an AI-generated voice. Narrators are labelled as AI in the app wherever they are named. No recording in the app is a real person speaking, and none is a recording of a counseling session.
Availability
The app streams its audio from an internet service, so it needs a connection to play a session. We may change, suspend or discontinue the app or any part of its catalogue at any time, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability.
No warranty, and limits on liability
GabaSet is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resilience Counseling, PLLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Changes
If these terms change in substance, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version here. Questions can go to robertclark@resiliencecounselingdfw.com.
